Aromatherapy Massage

This type of massage utilises essential oils extracted from herbs, flowers, resin, woods and roots. Ancient civilisations used essential oil massage to aid relaxation, improve circulation and help the healing of injuries.

In the 1920s Frenchman Rene Maurice Gattefosse revived the art and coined the name aromatherapy. Each freshly prepared oil mixture is individually prepared and has its own characteristics and benefits.

Aromatherapy use includes:

  • Inhalation & vaporisation
  • Compresses
  • Bath or shower
  • Massage
  • Spritzer sprays
  • Skin care
  • Household cleaners
  • Deodorisers
  • Insect repellant
  • Mood enhancers
